Harold Dwight Lasswell was a political theorist, author, and professor of law and political science. Lasswell received a Ph.D from the University of Chicago in 1926. From 1939-1946 Lasswell served as director of War Communications Research at the Library of Congress, and from 1946-1970 he taught law and political science at Yale University.
